The first July weekend of 2025 we spent a few beautiful days in the Swiss Mountains in Disentis.
This weekend is a regular annual event, but this year it was held in a new location. Nearly 60 spiritual seekers and meditation students of Sri Chinmoy from 18 nations had gathered, and by the Divine Grace everything went incredibly well and everyone was so happy!
On Friday we were blessed to have permission to use the local church for our meeting.
Saturday we went up to the Lukmanier Pass, which is a Sri Chinmoy Peace Blossom site. There we met the new owner of the hotel and the director of tourism in charge of the area. This time, a Sri Chinmoy Peace Path, which will start up there, was inaugurated with a very nice ceremony. In the future we are planning to go back again and have a special plaque ready to be installed for the public.
After the ceremony most of us hiked the 6,2 km of the new Peace Path in this magical mountain area. Afterwards we enjoyed a great dinner which our girls’ cooking team had prepared for everyone. The weather was perfect and we were able to sit outside and enjoy the sun and the views.
In the evening our “Mountain Silence” music group gave a concert with spiritual songs by Sri Chinmoy in the church.
Sunday morning meditation in the church included Bhajan singing and other special items.
After breakfast we set out for various activities in smaller groups – some went hiking, some swimming, and others on bike rides before everyone started heading back home.
To spend these happy times with our spiritual family is such a special blessing. Our mountain Joy Days in Disentis are always really magical.
